Financing will soon be available to citizens of Colorado wanting to go solar

On Earth Day Governor Ritter signed into law House Bill 1350.

 

HB 1350 creates a $250 million revolving loan fund for the installation of renewable-energy and energy-efficiency devices. The bill creates a statewide special district that can sell bonds and issue loans of as much as $25,000 per home to volunteer homeowners wanting to install solar, wind, geothermal or energy-efficiency devices. The loans would be offered at a fixed rate and would be payable for as long as 20 years.
